Uno dei miei hangups importanti con Vista è la barra di ricerca del `'. Quando in primo luogo ho cominciato usando Vista ho ritenuto che Microsoft aveva fatto una cosa grande - la hanno fatta in modo da potrei lanciare il mio programma favorito con uno scatto anziché due.

Sono stato deluso rapidamente per trovare che quando scrivete una parola a macchina nella barra di ricerca è niente come la vecchia finestra della barra di ordine di Start->Run. Comincia cercare le parole che scrivete dentro e molte volte dovete attendere… ed attendere… ed attendere un po'di più.

Ulteriormente se siete come me… ed avete una vecchia abitudine dell'inizio scattanteti, allora funzioni, quindi tipo c:\ per aprire il vostro azionamento duro… siete dentro per i lotti di divertimento con la barra di ricerca. Secondo che cosa trova esso non aprirà quasi mai il vostro azionamento duro in esploratore.

Ho trovato alcuni sensi rapidi facilitare il dolore. In primo luogo di tutti potete semplicemente giudicare la chiave delle finestre + la R per portare in su la linea di ordine finestra. Quello è il più facile.

Potete anche ottenere fare funzionare l'ordine indietro sul menu di inizio. Ciò può essere fatta dalla destra…

Così, sembra che le punte RC0 per l'assistente 2008 di Windows siano state inviato ai intarwebs (pubblichi: forse ho parlato troppo presto - i collegamenti ancora indicano a beta 3, ma saranno aggiornati presto). Ho detto in un alberino precedente, il rilascio di CTP della tecnologia di virtualization “di Viridian„ è incluso in questo rilascio dell'assistente di Windows.

Ben Armstrong ha alcuno buoni ricordi per chiunque che desiderasse provare questo fuori, in modo da io molto suggerirebbe che andate controllo il suo alberino prima che procedeste all'installazione.

Cose da tenere presente:

• Ciò è un rilascio di previsione - le prestazioni di questa configurazione non sono da nessuna parte vicino a che cosa sarà al rilascio di RTM di virtualization dell'assistente di Windows.
• L'installazione del CTP “di Viridian„ gli impedirà di aggiornare ad una più nuova configurazione di Windows. Se installate “Viridian„ CTP, non ci è percorso di aggiornamento - dovete pulito installare il vostro assistente, o il uninstall “il Viridian„ CTP prima che aggiorniate ad una più nuova configurazione di Windows.

This software is an optional supplement to Microsoft Windows Server 2008. In Windows Server 2008 RC0, the Streaming Media Services role (which includes the latest version of Windows Media Services) and remote administration tools are not included in Server Manager. To get the new features and tools available in Windows Media Services for Windows Server 2008 RC0, such as the built-in WMS Cache/Proxy plug-in, you must obtain and run the appropriate Streaming Media Services role installer file on the updated platform.

Yehaw! , today I pleased to announce the availability of Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate 0, and with it…the very first public release of Windows Server virtualization (codenamed Viridian).

You can download the bits today as part of our customer technology preview (CTP)program.

Not only does this milestone indicate that Windows Server 2008 is ready to march down the path to RTM….but it also is the first time WsV will be part of the code base and available to everyone. Now is the time for organizations to start testing with key virtuzliation scenarios…such as server consolidation….as well as getting ready for many of the other key features of Windows Server 2008.

With Windows Server virtualization CTP, customers will now be able leverage the scalability of hypervisor-based platform and features, including multi-processor guests, large memory allocation (more than 32 gigabytes per machine) and integrated virtual switch support that enables IT organizations to virtualize most workloads.

The Windows Vista Team Blog just announced that Vista SP1 beta has been released to a private group of beta testers on connect.microsoft.com. Also released are five ‘reliability packs’, which will ultimately be included in SP1, but will also be released earlier so your Vista experience is “the best we can make it”. Now the question is how long will it take for SP1 to reach the P2P sites? I’m guessing it’s uploading to one now, time to go hunting…
