Usted no puede. La perspectiva (y varios otros clientes del email) le permiten incluir efectos de escritorio o imágenes de fondo en su mensaje del email a vestido para arriba la mirada de sus mensajes del email. Actualmente, Gmail no rinde estas imágenes según lo esperado. Leído encendido para algunos de mis pensamientos sobre los efectos de escritorio….

Primero apagado, necesito intensificar en mi soapbox por un momento….

Realmente nunca entendía el drenaje de las imágenes o de los efectos de escritorio de fondo en mensajes del email. ¿Con excepción de permitir que usted inyecte un poco individualidad en un mensaje, qué propósito él realmente servidor? Los encuentro personalmente típicamente el distraer, no tanto las imágenes ellos mismos, pero el contenido elegido. Algunos son elegantes y que satisfacen para mirar, pero algo es apenas distracción llana. (más…)

PowerTOP es una herramienta de Linux que encuentra los componentes de software que hacen que su computadora portátil utiliza más energía que necesaria mientras que es ociosa. As of Linux kernel version 2.6.21, the kernel no longer has a fixed 1000Hz timer tick. This will (in theory) give a huge power savings because the CPU stays in low power mode for longer periods of time during system idle.

However… there are many things that can ruin the party, both inside the kernel and in userspace. PowerTOP combines various sources of information from the kernel into one convenient screen so that you can see how well your system is doing, and which components are the biggest problem. (more…)

Well my fellow Lazy Admins, things have certainly been rocking and rolling around here. Even though the post count is a little lower than we liked, we now have a few new TLA regulars. Marco Shaw will be keeping you on the up and up around PowerShell. He has even started up a Virtual PowerShell usergroup.

This week both the original Lazy Admin and the even lazier replacement (me!) will be hanging out in Toronto at SecTor. This is a really exciting event, and I have been looking forward to it for many months now. To celebrate this inaugural event I will be posting about the event, and at the same time I will be highlighting some great new security features in Windows Server 2008.
