O Outlook (e diversos outros clientes do email) permitem-no de incluir artigos de papelaria ou imagens de fundo em sua mensagem do email a vestido acima o olhar de suas mensagens do email. Atualmente, Gmail não rende estas imagens como esperadas. Lido sobre para alguns de meus pensamentos sobre artigos de papelaria….

Primeiramente fora, eu necessito pisar acima em meu soapbox por um momento….

Eu realmente nunca compreendi a tração de imagens ou de artigos de papelaria de fundo em mensagens do email. À excepção de permitir que você injete um pouco de individuality em uma mensagem, que finalidade ele realmente usuário? Eu encontro-os pessoalmente tipicamente distracting, não tanto as imagens elas mesmas, mas o índice escolhido. Alguns são elegantes e satisfazendo para olhar, mas alguns são apenas distracting liso. PowerTOP é uma ferramenta de Linux que encontre os componentes de software que fazem seu laptop usar mais poder do que necessário quando for inativo. As of Linux kernel version 2.6.21, the kernel no longer has a fixed 1000Hz timer tick. This will (in theory) give a huge power savings because the CPU stays in low power mode for longer periods of time during system idle.

However… there are many things that can ruin the party, both inside the kernel and in userspace. PowerTOP combines various sources of information from the kernel into one convenient screen so that you can see how well your system is doing, and which components are the biggest problem. (more…)

4. Crash recovery

Well my fellow Lazy Admins, things have certainly been rocking and rolling around here. Even though the post count is a little lower than we liked, we now have a few new TLA regulars. Marco Shaw will be keeping you on the up and up around PowerShell. He has even started up a Virtual PowerShell usergroup.

This week both the original Lazy Admin and the even lazier replacement (me!) will be hanging out in Toronto at SecTor. This is a really exciting event, and I have been looking forward to it for many months now. To celebrate this inaugural event I will be posting about the event, and at the same time I will be highlighting some great new security features in Windows Server 2008.
