VMWare a réellement eu cet outil pour une tout à fait certaine heure maintenant. Le convertisseur de VMWare pour Windows a été libéré en janvier de 2007. J'ai juste eu une chance de l'employer, et cela fonctionne grand.

Vous pouvez convertir une machine physique en VM tandis qu'elle fonctionne. C'est juste - aucun temps d'arrêt pour convertir un système. C'est parfait quand vous devez examiner quelque chose sur un serveur de phase de production… mais ne veut pas le risquer.

Quelques choses à observer dehors pour en utilisant le :

- Si vous avez Windows 2003, XP, ou Vista le passage à la machine virtuelle déclenchera l'activation de produit. Si vous ne faites pas autoriser à un OEM ceci peut être un problème… et peut vous empêcher d'accomplir votre chargent.

- Vous ne pouvez pas courir le convertisseur sur la même machine que vous convertissez. Vous devez le courir au-dessus du réseau, ou créez un disque d'initialisation. Un disque d'initialisation serait mauvais puisque ceci causerait un morceau significatif de temps d'arrêt.

So, with that in mind, the first thing you need to do is start unloading programs which are set to start automatically when you boot Windows. There are two places, primarily, that you want to look at:

1. Look in the “Startupâ€� folder in your Start Menu. Anything in that folder is set to start automatically. This is an awesome Vista theme with an old world feel. It features a huge sail boat being pulled into a beach set between rugged mountians. I love the attention to detail in this theme. It also features a wonderful green sidebar.

I knew this was going to happen someday, as Ubuntu is more and more popular each day.
