J'ai commencé à l'examiner avec une installation fraîche de XP. Aucuns grands changements SP2 fini. Aucune augmentation de vitesse ou ne diminuent l'un ou l'autre. Il inclut tous les derniers hotfixes et les pièces rapportées ainsi une fois que cette chose lui est libérée réduiront votre temps d'installation pour de nouvelles machines de XP considérablement.

Je continuerai à examiner, et vous fais savoir si je trouve n'importe quoi remarquable au sujet de ce dégagement.

Une autre mise à jour à l'IE6 et à l'IE7 Images virtuelles de PC que l'équipe d'IE aux marques de Microsoft disponibles est disponible pour le téléchargement au centre de téléchargement de Microsoft. Les précédents ont expiré sur 2007-12-07 ; ceux-ci expirent sur 2008-04-01.

Mes affaires exigent de moi de sauvegarder la sécurité de certains dossiers. Pendant des années j'ai employé Chemises magiques chiffrées (EMF) de la PC-Magie pour chiffrer ces dossiers, et pour les cacher de la vue d'un intrus. Je l'ai aimé, parce que des dossiers ont été toujours chiffrés sur le disque mais étaient entièrement accessibles aux applications. Cependant, quand j'ai amélioré à Vista 64, le nouvel EMF s'est brisé mon système tellement complètement qu'il était unbootable même en mode sûr. Je l'ai essayé deux fois, ai récupéré deux fois avec une certaine difficulté, et l'ai abandonné sur EMF.

En attendant j'avais entendu environ TrueCrypt, un paquet de chiffrage de disque d'ouvrir-source pour Windows et Linux. Il est libre ! Je dois admettre cela après que je l'aie téléchargé, j'ai eu besoin d'un certain temps pour obtenir mon esprit autour de lui.

Over the last few days I’ve noticed Digg.com has slowed to a crawl where it would take up to a half a minute to load each page. At first I thought it was Digg, but then I noticed “connecting to ads1.msn.com” in my status bar when apparently nothing would happen. Is there something wrong with Microsoft’s advertising network?

One of the many neat features in Firebug - a web-developer extension for Firefox - allows the monitoring of network traffic when loading a web page. This is extremely useful to track down causes for slow loading websites.

In this case, Microsoft’s ad servers (in particular, ads1.msn.com) is taking around 27 seconds to respond to the request for a simple 5KB Javascript file used to propagate websites with banner advertisements. In contrast, Digg’s server responds on average in less than 100ms.

On another site, Microsoft’s own Live Hotmail, the advertising banners served by ads1.msn.com and takes around 27 seconds as well to load. However unlike Digg, Hotmail’s ads are not placed at the top of the HTML so it does not hinder displaying the rest of the page’s
