Clustering a Service with Server 2008 Failover Clustering Clustering um Server 2008 com Service Failover Clustering

We’ve covered Nós abordamos setting  up a two node failover cluster in Windows Server 2008 and now that we have that running we can start to cluster some services and/or applications.  In this example we’ll cluster File Services to create a highly available file share.  To start we can simply right-click Services and Application under the cluster and choose Configure a Service or Application. criação de um nó dois failover cluster no Windows Server 2008 e que agora temos que correr, podemos começar a cluster alguns serviços e / ou aplicações. From there we are presented with a list of services and applications that can be clustered. De lá, somos confrontados com uma lista de serviços e aplicações que podem ser agregadas.

Simply choose the service or application you want to make highly available… Basta escolher o serviço ou aplicação que pretende tornar altamente disponível ...

A quick system check will ensure you have the required components in place.  The proper install order would be: Uma rápida verificação do sistema irá assegurar que você tenha os componentes necessários no local. O bom sentido seria instalar:

• Clustering Role Clustering Papel
• Role, Service or Application to be clustered Papel, serviço ou aplicativo para ser agrupado

We will choose the File Server role as it is already installed. Vamos escolher o papel de servidor de arquivos, uma vez que já está instalado.

You will have to provide a name (used by NetBIOS and DNS) as well as the public IP address you wish to use.  This will be the IP that users connect to gain access to resources. Você terá que fornecer um nome (utilizado pelo NetBIOS e DNS), bem como o endereço IP público que deseja usar. Este será o IP que conecta os usuários a ganhar acesso aos recursos.

Next select the disk you wish to assign to this cluster.  This will be the disk that contains the shares and files. De seguida seleccione o disco que você deseja atribuir a este cluster. Este será o disco que contém as ações e os arquivos.

Finish out the wizard and once it is complete you will see the service or application appear in the list as well as it’s status, the type and the current owner (aka the node holding the role at this time). Concluir o assistente e depois que ela estiver completa você vai ver o serviço ou aplicação figurar na lista, assim como ele é status, o tipo eo actual proprietário (também conhecido como o nó segurando o papel nesse momento).

If you wish to move it to the other node in the cluster simply right-click the name and choose Move this Service or Application to Another Node and choose the node. Se você quiser movê-lo para o outro nó no cluster simplesmente clique com o botão direito no nome e escolha Mover este serviço ou aplicativo para outro Nó e escolher o nó.

The resources will be re-assigned to the other node and after a brief outage be back online for users to access. Os recursos serão re-atribuído ao outro nó, e após uma breve interrupção de volta on-line para que os usuários acessem.
