2008 est ici, son chronomètrent maintenant pour faire face à la vérité… L'horloge fait tic tac sur Windows XP de Microsoft. Et tandis que Microsoft peut regarder ceci comme étape normale dans l'évolution d'un produit qui était RTM' E-D (libéré à la fabrication) toute manière en arrière en 2001, une proportion en bonne santé de personnes ne verra pas l'oeil pour observer avec la compagnie sur celle-ci. Dans ce contexte… Windows Vista.
Vista en 2007
Même avec Vista chaud outre des pressions, XP ne l'a pas donné à un soupçon ce allait abandonner le combat, avec Microsoft se concentrant sur l'enroulement XP vers le haut pour l'appui de bon-Fin pour SP1 et être bientôt SP2.
- Vice-président Mike Nash de gestion du produit de Windows de Microsoft le 27 septembre : « avec plus de 60 millions de permis vendus en date de cet été, Windows Vista est sur la voie à être le logiciel d'exploitation la rapide-vente dans l'histoire de Microsoft. »
Ils avaient fait -vendu plus de 20 millions de permis en le premier mois depuis RTM, passant 40million dans le premier 100days et 60 millions pour la mi- 2007. Les dernières statistiques ont rendu disponible au public, remontant à fin octobre, dirigé à plus de 88 millions de copies de Vista se sont vendues dans le monde entier.
À la fin de 2007, selon des statistiques fournies par Net Applications, Vista a apprécié un part de marché de 10.48% - un pourcentage rudement synonyme avec les copies 100+ million vendues. Et tandis qu'en juste année un Vista simple installez la base a passé les assistances combinées d'OS X d'imper et toutes distributions de Linux, son exécution est encore perçues avec des nuances d'échec. Et fautif est Windows XP avec ses racines fermement creusées dedans pendant les six dernières années.
Le problème de Vista
Actuellement les feuilles de Vista (en général) beaucoup à être désirer-à soient honnêtes il est juste comment je me sens. SP1 sûr sort cette année, et il y a espoir immobile que Microsoft amplifiera Vista jusqu'à l'OS qu'il a le potentiel d'être, mais laissera le visage qu'il-là sont BEAUCOUP d'utilisateurs qui ne iront pas de pair avec l'écoulement. Évidemment Vista s'est développé sur moi depuis que je l'ai examiné la première fois que des années il y a-Je ont la confiance upmost SP1 changeront d'avis pour le meilleur.
Explorons ce qui est descendu avec Vista l'année dernière :
- Dell, la HP et l'Acer ont tout le Microsoft demandé pour prolonger la disponibilité de XP pour des 6 mois additionnels dus aux soucis des clients.
- Beaucoup d'entreprises ont été lentes pour adopter Vista dû aux questions d'exécution pauvre et de compatibilité.
- Complaints have arisen regarding performance issues and the fact that Vista is so damn hungry.
XP’s Future
2008 Marks another milestone for Microsoft Windows-No it’s not Service Pack 1. It’s the real upgrade to Vista (SP0)… XP’s Service Pack 3. This final major update to XP has been dubbed by some as the Vista without the crap.
Although XP was faster than Vista before, SP3 ups the ante. Microsoft has said that SP3 features about 1073 fixes and adds some cool features from Vista to make your experience far better. Using Vista after XP seems weird-no device incompatibility warnings, pop-ups asking for permission and poor performance.
Sure this may not seem like big improvements and most of the fixes included in SP3 can already be found on Vista, but isn’t that the issue here? Now that XP is more secure and already sports any and all drivers you are currently using without costing hundreds of dollars to implement, couldn’t it be said that XP is simply the better choice? … It just works!!!
Sadly the end of June (30th )2008 marks the day where Windows XP will no longer be available pre-loaded on computers from original equipment manufactures or from retail outlets. Starting with the summer of this year (4th Quarter) and ending sometime in 2010, when windows 7 is planned, end users will only have access to Windows Vista. XP will survive a little longer with System Builders until early 2009, and until mid 2010 with the Starter edition, but sales of the Windows operating system connected with white-box PC’s are only a fraction of the Windows client businesses.
What about the Big Picture?
In the end, it’s not all about the support life-cycles and marketing, not by a long shot. With SP1, Vista will enter its first stage of evolution and with that a massively increased user-base. This will lead better support and compatibility, to increased reliability and boosted performance-XP will fade to the background and Vista will take centre stage.
So…While Office 07 and Vista get their first Service Packs-Windows XP will get its last.
