Mozilla Firefox Tip:Control Windows Swap Out on Minimize
When applications are minimized and not active in Windows, the Operating System will swap out the memory in RAM to the hard disk, restoring it to RAM when the application is restored or becomes active again. By default, Mozilla FireFox blocks Windows from performing this action, retaining the information in RAM memory.
You can configure Mozilla FireFox to allow Windows operating system to swap out this memory when FireFox is not in active use by making the following modification:

- Right-click within the main body and select New | Boolean
- Name the item config.trim_on_minimize
- Assign a value of true to allow windows to swap out the memory.

To return FireFox to the default state, set this value to false, or delete the entry.
