OCS 2007 Front-end Server Service doesn’t start

If you are deploying Office Communication Server 2007 on a single server with the Active Directory, it will not be possible to start Office Communication Server 2007’s Front-end Service. Under Event Viewer, an error “Error Failure [0xC3EC79E6] Service failed to start as requested” will be logged.

Workaround:

Setup a member server and install OCS 2007 onto it.
