I've got pretty much the same mindset as you do. Trying to find the best performance without doing anything difficult/expensive.

I have tried a multiplier of 17 (3,4 GHz) and it is stable for most of the time, but if I rund BOINC/Climateprediction then it crashes.

Do you think I perhaps need just a little more voltage?</description>
