Tweak your mouse sensitivity in Windows virtual machines

I doubt a lot of virtualization fans is having this issue on most of the virtualization platform. This is not a major issue, but it is quite annoying and it will lower down your mouse pointer sensitivity. It is very hard for you to do testing or manage the Windows virtual machine if you cannot move your mouse pointer smoothly. Recently I just realized how to solve it from a friend of mine. Before this I would like to share this post with my friend, Wayne Lee King Lek. Thanks for him to share this knowledge with me.

Here is the step by step how to encounter the issue mentioned above:
  1. At your Windows VM desktop, right click your mouse, and then go to Properties.
  2. Browse to Settings tab, and then click on Advanced button at the right bottom.
  3. Click on the Troubleshoot tab, adjust the Hardware acceleration to Full.

Thats all for this small trick. Hope this post will help you all. :)

Leave a comment and let us know what you think of the video, and if you have suggestions for tips and tricks we should cover in future videos!

Also, just a reminder that you can still get the Windows Vista Product Guide - a great resource on all things Windows Vista - for FREE in paperback. All you have to do is pay for shipping. Order your copy here! The paperback guide doesn't include the new stuff in Windows Vista SP1, but you can download all of that information here

Add the Green Consideration in Buying a New PC

When you are in the market for a new computer, perhaps you could include among your requirements green issues like perhaps the materials to which they are made of and energy saving features that is currently among the top points that people are being encouraged to do. We are all aware that going green has been added to the fray and while many PC manufacturers claim that they adhere to such eco-friendly policies, it would be best to decide on your own on what it really means to be green.

One thing you can be assured of is that you get the best performance as well. Power saving features has to be the leading indicator of being green which is closely followed by use of other resources from perhaps recycled materials or adhering towards policies governing proper waste and reusable resources. While these are a given, it is obvious that the main point that a PC buyer would have is simply to get a PC that can function normally and according to their needs.

The real deal on why PC buyers should place emphasis on energy consumption may not be realized immediately. For one, energy consumption can really save

How Do Companies Make Money with Linux?

Open source enthusiasts believe that better software can result from an open source software development model than from proprietary development models. So in theory, any company creating software for its own use can save money by adding its software contributions to those of others to gain a much better end product for themselves. Companies that want to make money selling software need to be more creative than they did in the old days. While you can sell the software you create that includes GPL software, you must pass the source code of that software forward. Of course, others can then recompile that product, basically using your product without charge. Here are a few ways that companies are dealing with that issue:

• Software subscriptions—Red Hat, Inc. sells its Red Hat Enterprise Linux products on a subscription basis. For a certain amount of money per year, you get binary code to run Linux (so you don’t have to compile it yourself), guaranteed support, tools for tracking the hardware and software on your computer, and access to the company’s knowledge base. While Red Hat’s Fedora project includes much of the same software and is also available in binary form, there are...
