The Ubuntu coming out party! اوبونتو الخروج الطرف! But where is the marketing and advertising effort from Dell and others? ولكن أين هو الجهد التسويق والاعلان من Dell وغيرها؟
The final release of Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) will be released shortly and Dell has indicated that it will be pre-installed on some of their Notebooks and Desktop PCs. It will include GNOME 2.20 and the default installation of NTFS-3G, which provides read/write access to Windows (NTFS) partitions. الافراج النهائي اوبونتو 7.10 (gutsy غيبون) سيتم الافراج قريبا Dell واشار الى انه سيتم قبل تركيبها على بعض من اجهزة الكمبيوتر من سطح المكتب والدفاتر. ستشمل تمثال 2،20 الافتراضيه وتركيب NTFS - الجيل الثالث ، الذي ينص على قراءة وكتابة الوصول الى نظام ويندوز (NTFS) حواجز. Also included is Compiz Fusion, the 3-D window manager and desktop effects package. وأدرجت ايضا compiz الانصهار ، 3 - د نافذة سطح المكتب ومدير مجموعة آثار. Improved plug and play printer support and a host of other features. However the story of success does not rest in the fact that Dell is offering its support to Ubuntu. تحسين التوصيل والتشغيل ودعم طابعه مجموعة من السمات الاخرى ، الا ان قصة نجاح لا يرتكز في حقيقة ان Dell تقدم دعمها لاوبونتو. The big question is the marketing and advertising of Ubuntu Linux. السؤال الكبير هو التسويق والاعلان من اوبونتو لينكس. As far as I am concerned Ubuntu is still the best Linux distro available, for the commoners. فيما يتعلق بي اوبونتو لا يزال على ما هو أفضل لينكس distro كانت متاحة ، للالعامة. However, why is there so little advertising of Linux? ولكن ، لماذا هذا القدر الضئيل من الاعلانات لينكس؟ Is there a reason why Dell is not fully backing Linux? هل هناك سبب لماذا لا Dell دعم كامل لينكس؟ Ubuntu has a chance on becoming a big player for Linux enthusiasts and possibly people who want a PC, but for online and basic home PC usage. اوبونتو لديها فرصة كبيرة للدولة ، عندما تصبح لاعبا في لينكس المتحمسين ، وربما يريد الشعب من جهاز كمبيوتر ، ولكن لاخبار الصفحه الأولى والأساسية لاستخدام الكمبيوتر. But, the progress will continue to be a slow one, as long as no particular hardware vendors helps in marketing the product, in the same way Microsoft Windows is pushed. ولكن ، ستواصل التقدم الى ان تكون بطيءه واحد ، طالما انه لم يساعد بائعي الاجهزه وخاصة في تسويق المنتج ، وبنفس الطريقة التي يدفع مايكروسوفت ويندوز. I sense that Dell does not want to fully upset the Microsoft behemoth. وأنا أشعر أن Dell لا يريد ان يخل مايكروسوفت بشكل كامل الحموله. Dell is now offering XP as a downgrade (of upgrade – depending on how you see it), for users that do not want Vista. Dell الآن تقدم بوصفها تقلل من اكس بي (من رفع مستوى â € "حسب الكيفيه التي ترى انها) ، وللمستخدمين الذين لا يريدون فيستا. Vista has experienced extremely bad press, along with a host of problems. فيستا شهدت الصحافة سيئة للغاية ، الى جانب العديد من المشاكل. The question is since Microsoft is not coming out with a new OS anytime soon; why not help push the Ubuntu Linux cause? والسؤال هو منذ ان مايكروسوفت ليست الخروج نظام تشغيل جديد فى اى وقت قريب ؛ لماذا لا تساعد على دفع قضية اوبونتو لينكس؟ Is there more at play than we know? هل هناك اكثر مما تقوم به في اننا نعرف؟ Dell may simply be riding the Linux wave for free, while not helping (spending too much) to promote Ubuntu, at the expense of XP. Dell قد تكون مجرد ركوب موجة لينوكس مجانا ، في حين لا يساعد (الانفاق أكثر من اللازم) لتعزيز اوبونتو ، على حساب اكس بي. Also, Linux is still not mainstream in the public eye. كما ان لينكس لا يزال غير التيار الرئيسي في نظر الجمهور. At a recent event the subject of Microsoft Vista was brought up. الحدث الأخير في هذا الموضوع »مايكروسوفت« فيستا ترعرعت. These are not “technically inclined†individuals; however they ALL had nothing good to say about Vista. وهذه ليست â € € œtechnically inclinedâ الافراد ، بيد ان جميع هذه الطرق لها شيء جيد ان نقول عن فيستا. Many said that they would buy a Mac. وقال كثيرون انها ستشتري لجنة الهدنه العسكرية. Some said “a Mac is hard to use†(did not get that one). وقال بعض â € œa لجنة الهدنه العسكرية من الصعب ان useâ € (ان لم احصل على واحد). However at the price, they could probably purchase 2-4 basic low-end PCs, with Microsoft XP. ولكن في الاسعار ، ويمكن على الارجح شراء 2-4 الاساسية المنخفضه نهاية الحواسيب الشخصيه ، مع مايكروسوفت اكس بي. Only a few knew about Linux, however they said that “it was for nerds and programmers†. فقط عدد قليل من يعرف عن لينكس ، ومع ذلك وقالوا ان â € œit كان لnerds وprogrammersâ €. Well at least they knew something about it! وأيضا على الاقل كانوا يعلمون شيئا حيال ذلك! A little education brought them up to speed, however more work needs to be done. قليلا التعليم ربوها على السرعه ، إلا ان المزيد من العمل الذى يتعين القيام به. While HP, Acer and others are contemplating Linux ventures, Dell has an opportunity, with its marketing knowhow, to boost the general profile of Linux. وفي حين حصان ، ايسر وغيرها تفكر في مشاريع لينكس ، Dell فرصة ، بما لديها من الخبرة التسويقية ، لزيادة الملامح العامة لينكس. I hope Dell jumps on the opportunity , which should help to change the technical landscape for years to come. وأمل Dell يقفز على الفرصة التي ينبغي ان تساعد على تغيير على الساحة الفنية لسنوات قادمة.
