Zune gegen iPod Weltdiagramm

Sie würden denken, daß eine Firma versucht, so vieles seiner Produkte möglich für maximalen Profit zu verkaufen. Aber Nr., nicht Microsoft. Nicht mit dem Zune. Nicht nur verkauft Microsoft nicht Zunes in Australien, aber sie wirklich entmutigen Sie jedermann vom Kaufen ein durch einen Reseller falls Sie wirklich gewünschtes. Diese Art von Begeisterung ist nicht annehmbar. Gleichzeitig verkaufen iPods besser als die hotcakes und bis besitzen 80% Marktanteil in Australien. Das selbe trifft vermutlich auf viel der Welt, Sie wissen, in den Ländern außerhalb der Vereinigten Staaten zu. Yeah gibt es eine Handvoll von denen.

Das Sprechen von iPods, 2001, Apple stieß das erstes Erzeugung iPod weltweit auf ein globales Freigabedatum aus. Der lächerliche Grund, warum Microsoft nicht sein Zune nirgends außerhalb der Vereinigten Staaten verkauft, nicht sogar geliebtes Kanada, ist wegen des Mangels an regionalen Musikspeichern. Wenn Sie fragen sollten mich, denke ich, daß der eine dumme Geschäft Entscheidung ist, die auf `Glas-sein-Hälfte-leerer' Argumentation basiert und sie verletzt wirklich die Marke im langfristigen.

Glauben Sie es oder nicht, Australien hatte nicht einen iTunes Musikspeicher bis späte 2005 - 4 Jahre nach der Einleitung des iPod. Aber das stoppte nicht niemand vom Kaufen eines iPod und vom Laden ihres eigenen Inhalts auf es für die ersten vier Jahre. Die Tatsache ist sie verkaufte iPods und verdiente Geld ohne einen Musikspeicher. Apple nur gebildet mehr Geld mit dem iTunes Speicher.

Sie konnten gut sagen, „Musik konnte in einem Musikspieler recht wichtig sein“, aber das Zune ist nicht ein Musikspieler gerecht. Musik ist nur eine der sechs Eigenschaften des Zune. Die anderen, die Bildschirm, Teilen, Abbildungen, Radio und podcasts sind. Welche einen überfluß am Inhalt diesbezüglich oder jedes mögliches entwickelte Land haben.

Sogar Musik ist reichliches, wenn Sie an sie denken - Gleich-zugleiches, DRM-freies MP3s und gibt von den Indiekünstlern frei.

Ich habe viel der notierten Fernsehapparat Erscheinen (gesetzmaßig und nicht-so-gesetzmaßig), Filme, nette Katze videos, Radiostationen, podcasts und vidcasts Ich würde lieben, auf ein Zune zu hören und aufzupassen.

Tatsächlich hörte ich kaum jede Hauptströmungsmusik auf meinem vorhergehenden Mittelspieler. It was all freely available content that is compatible with any media player, including the Zune.

You could argue the same for the iPhone, the phone service is kind of essential but otherwise a great device, so why is it too a US-only device? The difference here is that Apple is proactively working to get the iPhone into other markets. In a matter of 3 months, they’ve already established partnerships in Europe and Canada. The Zune team on the other hand haven’t managed one in a matter of 12 months as of next week. It’s not like Microsoft doesn’t have a worldwide presence and might have a hard time negotiating with music labels. But it’s because they’re not trying.

Consumers are not hopeless without some sort of integrated music store. Sure, a music store will make the integrated experience much richer, and probably sell more devices, but I believe the device on its own is worth buying. That’s how they sold MP3 players before the iPod and if I recall correctly, people still bought them.

I should point out though the Zune is not impossible to get in Australia. There’s a handful of them sold new on eBay, through a few online retailers and as well as the trusty Microsoft Australia employee. But that’s not to say there’s no risk. Even though Microsoft has said they’ll refund any defective devices in Australia, there’s no guarantee of warranty or support when required.

I’ve even gone as far as asking Zune’s public relations to buy a review unit. They didn’t even bother to respond. Frankly, I’m sick of waiting. My next alternative is an iPod Touch and I’m sure Apple will be glad to profit from me.
