[إينترنت إكسبلورر] 7 حاليّا ال أكثر يستعمل [برووسر] عالميّا, وفقا ل إحصائيّة يجعل يتوفّر ب [نت] [أبّليكأيشنس]. يطلق على سنة [أغو] ل [ويندووس] [إكسب] قد نما [سب2] و [ويندووس] نادلة 2003, ال [برووسر] بدءا ديسمبر - كانون الأوّل 2007 إلى [مركت شر] من 40.61%. مع النهاية من 2007 أيضا يأتي ال [دثرون] من [إينترنت إكسبلورر] 6, من ال [دوميننت بوسأيشن] على ال [برووسر] سوق. يعلّل [إي6] حاليّا 35.18%, وال [سكند-موست] يستعمل [برووسر] في العالم, يتبع جانبا [فيرفوإكس] 2.0 في مكان ثالثة مع 15.80%.

Opera widgets are web applications that run directly on your desktop without displaying the browser controls because Opera web browser can install and show them automatically.
They can be constructed using regular client side programming languages such as JavaScript and Flash. As a consequence, minimal knowledge regarding common used web-related programming languages are necessary if you want to create a new widget or to modify an existing one.

The main parts of an Opera widget are a file named index.html and a config.xml file. The index.html file can control external files, such as Flash animations or external Javascripts or could contain a Javascript in it, for example. Practically a widget could be assimilated to a regular client side web application which performs certain actions on a Windows or Linux desktop, as if it was called from a web browser. (more…)

A new version of Firefox is available for download. On October 19, Mozilla made available an update to its open source browser, taking the version build from 2.0.0.7 to 2.0.0.8. The version numbers are not a clear indication of the evolution between the two Firefox variants. According to Mozilla, over 200 issues impacting the Firefox browser were addressed by the 2.0.0.8 update. However, at the same time, the extent of the modifications introduced by Firefox 2.0.0.8 also affected the functionality of the browser regressing a handful of aspects.

On October 22, Mozilla promised to update the Firefox 2.0.0.8 update in order to take care of the problems generated by the refresh. Web-mail users and bloggers know too well the folly of inputting text into a browser window. It’s very easy to close out a session while composing a message, lose everything, and be left scrambling to retype the e-mail or post. Firefox offers a fix. By tweaking the agile browser’s settings, previous sessions are easily restored, complete with form entries.
