Glacier W200 Computers

Get a computer that you can put on your wrist. Possible? Yes it is thanks to Glacier’s W200 wrist computers. This technology is not surprising. We are at a stage where computers are getting compact and smaller by the day and apparently Glacier is leading the pack as far as miniature size is concerned.

Features of this futuristic device include a 3.5-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, GPS, a backlit keyboard, Linux or Windows CE and more. This is essentially a low-powered computer that can be literally strapped to you at just about all times. It also includes a motion sensor and an electronic compass, making it the perfect choice for those that like to go backpacking, or what have you.

As most concept devices, this is still not officially underway. But you can be sure that once the developers find a way to fit in and find the periperhals needed to make it tick, this device is going to be a hot commodity in the market. That is if ever it does gets done.

Phobos Performance Gaming/Home Theater System

Here is a PC worthy of a gamer’s needs. The new system is the Phobos Performance Gaming/Home Theater System which comes with two graphic cards for standard models. According to BFG, the dual graphics card set up makes for a serious improvement in performance. The Phobos Performance Edition includes a liquid cooled Intel Core i7-920 2.66GHz processor, the dual graphics cards that run in NVIDIA SLI, one touch overclocking, free installation and more.

Such powerful specs for this appealing system which is sure to be the eye for most people looking for powerful PCs to enhance their gaming and graphics-related needs. But the question is would the specs be enough? A lot of this is due to the fact that game developers and advanced programming have become demanding as far as specs are concerned and apparently the Phobos PC aims to answer all those issues in one deal.

It is actually available now. The whole lot costs a whopping $3,000.00. Not that easy to buy considering one would think first before spending a fortune on such a PC bundle with no assurance that system requirements may soon buck a higher demand. Besides, it has been a trend to see such PCs depreciate in time and for the wise buyers, chances are they will wait a little bit more before buying this crazy device.

BMW Level 10 PC Casing

What would our PC casings look like some years from now? Well to date, we have seen various designs on how to store our PC peripherals and chips. However, if you step up and close to look at this crazy but alluring design, you may even mistake it as the PC design of the future.

The case is actually the prototype by BMW, DesignworksUSA, and computer case and fanmaker Thermaltake exists now. “Level 10″ is on display at CeBIT, the world’s largest computer expo going on now in Hanover, Germany. Sporting an open design, ventilation is enhanced enough to be beyond needing such exotica as liquid cooling. The concept is similar to those lofts with all the exposed piping and ventilation ductwork. It’s positively postmodern.

Once available, expect PC owners to check out if they can afford and get a hold of this new BMW Level 10 PC design. If the price is right, surely many people will not pass it up. It is simple a design that will make you PC stand out above the rest.

There’s precious little info about this spectacular case design, so we have no idea when it might be available and at what price. We’ll be visiting the DesignworksUSA studio in Los Angeles later this month, so we’ll find out more details then.

Asus EEE Keyboar-Computer Released

Just how important is a keyboard? Well keyboards are the standard modes of interface and normally, people could care less of what makes them different from others. In fact, it seems that most keyboards are alike and it is just the brands that are vying for price comparison.

There are also keyboards that vary in terms of crisp and keystrokes. Some computer users prefer softer and some great key stroke pads that make composing and typing a breeze. In short, there will always be a specific requirement that keyboards have and apparently that is why some manufacturers vary in pricing.

As for the latest keyboard in the market, Asus has unveiled one of its own. Just recently, they have released the Eee keyboard, a computer built entirely into a keyboard. Many caught a glimpse of it at the recently concluded CES and it offers something different.

This isn’t the first computer to be crammed inside of a keyboard, however, it’s most certainly the best-looking to date. Packing a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of DDR2 RAM and either a 16GB or 32GB SSD drive, this will be comparable to some of the other Eee line. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, Wireless HDMI and a 5-inch touchscreen. It also has a regular HDMI port, VGA, 3 USB ports and audio in/out jacks. We’re still not sure what the price tag is going to be, but if they can keep the pricing close to what we’ve seen in some of the other Eee products, this could be very promising.

Logitech Z-5 Omnidirectional PC Speakers

PC Speakers would certainly be the last thing that people would spend for. Although some people still have some brand preference such as Altec Lansing and Labtec, Logitech has joined the fray with these new Omnidirectional PC speakers to perk up sound for gaming and multimedia playback using the traditional PC.

These omnidirectional speakers use the same technology that is incorporated in today’s hi-fi home theatre systems to produce real life surround effects. The Logitech Z-5 speakers use forward- and backward-firing drivers to transmit sound evenly in all directions.

This means the person sitting in the corner will experience the same level of fidelity, depth and bass as the person sitting in the centre or sides feel. Whether you are listening to your favourite track or watching movie, the Z-5 makes sure that you get bass rich sound vibes with minimal distortion at every place in the room.

The brand may direct you towards interface devices and this product may seem experimental. But if you think about it, evening the sound output seems to be a catchy twist that this speakers have to offer and if you really want to spruce up your PC sound playback, check it out and get something different for your audio requirements.
