Removing the Clock from the Taskbar

The clock can be very useful if you don’t have any other clocks in the same room as your computer.Otherwise,it is just taking up space.
After all, how many clocks do you really need? If you want the maximum amount of space for your toolbars and open programs on the taskbar, I
suggest that you also remove the clock.
Removing the clock is extremely simple.
  • Follow these quick instructions:
  • Right-click the system clock and select Properties.
  • Then,under the Notification Area on the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window, uncheck Show the Clock.
  • Click OK to save your changes and the clock will be gone.

i-Clock Sidebar - Free Download


You can’t get any more cool then this set of clocks for Windows Vista. There’s a design for everybody in this set of 7 clocks. My personal favorite is the Windows clock. I know it may not be as cool as the other ones, but I always enjoy simplicity and integration with the whole desktop. With the Windows clock it will fit almost any designs. I’m thinking that most people will like the transformers one the best.

Clocktopia Sidebar - Free Download


These sidebar clocks are way better then the stock clocks that come with Vista. I like the variety and how sleek all the clocks look. My favorite is the blue one because I think it’s the most unique. I’m so glad I found these widgets, as my desktop has been suffering from the “boring” syndrome.

Set your PC clock automatically

If you have an Internet connection, Windows XP can automatically synchronize your clock to keep it accurate. Here’s how:

1. Right-click your clock, and then click Adjust Date/Time.

2. Click the Internet Time tab. Click the Server down arrow, and then click time.nist.gov. Notice that Internet time synchronization is enabled by default.

3. Click Update Now. Windows XP contacts the Internet time server and sets your clock. Click OK.

Now, your PC is connected to the Internet time server.
