New LIVE Guide Available for Games for Windows - LIVE

Major Nelson has posted that an update to Games for Windows – LIVE will be available next time you login to a LIVE enabled game (of course) - offering you the brand new LIVE Guide. He’s also posted a bunch of shots of the new LIVE Guide here on Flickr.

Unfortunately I’ve packed my Games for Windows – LIVE games away as I’m in the middle of moving. But I’m thinking of picking up the new James Bond game Quantum of Solace (I’m anxious to give the new Live Guide a try myself). Feel free to recommend other Games for Windows – Live titles for me. I already own Halo 2 for Windows Vista and Shadowrun.

Dell Unveils Alienware Desktop

While other businesses are planning their new business plan of attack, Dell is not holding anything back. In fact, their push for better sales and hopefully to satisfy the demand for quality and branded computers in the market continues and their latest offering is the Dell Alienware Aurora Desktop that is set to be sold in 200 stores in the United States.

Surely the Alienware Aurora desktop is targeted at the hardcore gamers who look for high-end requirements such as powerful graphics cards and leading edge performance peripherals. Rather than upgrade or buy parts one by one, Dell is offering a one package deal that simply required the new computer owner to install the preferred game and sit back and play afterwards.

The demand for specialized desktops to adhere towards the demands that the gaming phenomenon has set, PC users are now on the lookout for powerful specs, going as far as overboard at times simply to enjoy the pleasures of PC gaming. With the Dell desktop, not only are PC enthusiasts assured of higher specs but also a brand that has been reliable and well-known in the industry.

“People are defining themselves by the products they choose and groups

Is Your PC Purely for Gaming?

These days, owning a PC is not purely for business purposes. While we all know that most people are buying computers for studies or word processing requirements, they have also been considered to appease kids who look towards them for playing games that require specific requirements such as higher video cards and large storage space.

It does seem like a waste for most but for people who want to keep their kids at home and away from vices, such is a price that is more than enough to consider. Besides, it is a matter of priorities. Improving the specs a little bit can still satisfy the need to have these personal computers be used for official ways such as documents and spreadsheets for work or school.

As far as getting more expensive hardware for a customizable PC, it is really a logical price to pay. Computers have always been known to provide entertainment and if games are something that they are keenly interested to be kept away from harm, then by all means parents should think beyond the box.

Cost is something most PC buyers will ponder upon. But while that is a given, it would be best to see which

Can A New Computer Make you a Better Gamer?

One thing that will push most people to buy computers today would be because of gaming purposes. Whether this is pertaining to online gaming or stand-alone, the type of games today have increased in requirements for an avid gamer to enjoy them.

We have seen famous games such as the World of Warcraft which put focus on memory chips and video card requirements. Unlike before when video cards were limited for graphics-related work, gaming has stepped in to require higher memory in them. As a PC user, you would say that these gaming software are crazy to think that there will be people who would go through the trouble of getting high-end graphics card just to play a silly game. But the fact of the matter is that there are people, young and old, who do buy these cards even if they cost a lot.

But the question is, would you upgrade your computer to save you the trouble of doing it part by part. Some people put this in mind. If they were to get a new computer, they would consider what things they could do with it. While the usual paper work and spreadsheets will be there, gaming
