Quand vous avez Prolongements de côté de client de la préférence de politique de groupe (GPP) (CSE) téléchargé te notera qu'ils ne sont pas (encore) dans .MSI format - ainsi en utilisant Installation de logiciel de politique de groupe (GPSI) n'est pas possible. Déception, droite ! ?

Nous avons .EXE dossiers pour Windows XP/2003 et .MSU dossiers pour Windows Vista… Mais ce n'est pas la seule chose que nous devons penser environ. Avant que « déployant » ces choses aux clients sur le réseau que nous devons savoir l'OS version (XP/2003/Vista), l'OS architecture (bit 32 ou 64), Service le niveau de paquet, et si la préférence de politique de groupe Choses nécessaires (WmlLite - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914783/en-us) sont installés.

Pour me rendre tout ce joli facile ai créé une « démo » manuscrit pour déployer le GPP CSEs en utilisant le manuscrit de démarrage - ou un lancement manuel (dans le contexte d'admin). Mon bon ami Jeremy Moskowitz demandé me pour faire ceci - ainsi, un couple des heures plus tard la « démo » - ou »bêta« - le manuscrit est public (le téléchargement ci-dessous)…

Note : Je n'ai pas pu examiner dans tous les scénarios encore, mais I *pensez* ils sont tous joli puits couvert à ce jour. Svp dos de rapport si vous trouvez n'importe quels problèmes - rétroaction est bienvenu !

Bienvenue à « La recherche pour le filtre saint de l'ordinateur de bureau WMI », c'est une recherche globale de ce que vous pourriez appeler « Le filtre parfait de l'ordinateur de bureau WMI ". A WMI filter which, by using WMI Query Language (WQL), should be able to spot DESKTOP computers only. It should be a general query - meaning it should be possible to use the filter in most Active Directory environments around the globe for Group Policy filtering.

So, what is a desktop really? Well, actually in this case we'll say it's the opposite of a laptop. Hmm, then what is a laptop? Easy enough: a computer with a battery! We've got the WMI filter for finding laptops already:

Select * from Win32_Battery  - don't you just love the simplicity in this query?

This filter will make a computer with a battery respond back with "TRUE" (because the WMI class instance is present), meaning a GPO with this filter will apply to computers with batteries. Simple right? And you might think it's easy to just "turn it around" to find desktops, like:

Select * From Win32_Battery Where Availability != 2
  or
Select
