In Windows Vista, können Benutzer ein umfangreiches haben System Gesundheit Report erzeugt für sie, beim Helfen überprüfen Sie Leistung und Zuverlässigkeit Ausgaben auf ihrem PC oder zu sehen wie gesund ihr PC im allgemeinen ist. Für den durchschnittlichen Benutzer bedeutet dieses vermutlich nicht nichts. Aber für mich, bin ich die Art des Benutzers, der wirklich die Gleichen, welche die Fähigkeit haben, Reports zu verursachen, die mir über meinen PC erklären, also ich wirklich aufgeregt wurden, um diese Fähigkeit in Windows Vista zu finden.

Heute abend entschied ich, einen Report auf meinem Hauptschreibtisch PC zum ersten Mal zu erzeugen und zu sehen, was es sagt. Einen System Gesundheit Report erzeugen lassen:

1. Öffnen Sie Anfangsmenü.
2. Recht-Klicken auf „Computer“ und Klicken „Eigenschaften“.
3. Im System Eigenschaften Fenster klicken Sie an Ihre Windows Erfahrung Indexbewertung.
4. Im Leistung Informationen und Werkzeugfenster unter „Aufgaben“ im linken Wahlscheibe Klicken „rückte Werkzeuge“ vor.
5. Unter vorgerückten Werkzeugen, die Fenster „wählen, erzeugen Sie einen System Gesundheit Report“ an der Unterseite.

Der Report erzeugt nach ungefähr 60 Sekunden Prüfung. Ist hier mein System Gesundheit Report, den ich heute abend erzeugte:

Wie Sie sehen können, werden jede mögliche Art von Störungen oder Warnungen für Ihr System zuerst an der Oberseite des Reports angezeigt. Sie können von meinem Report sehen, mein HP Photosmart C5100 Drucker sind untauglich, eine Störung gebend. Dieses ist, weil ich vor kurzem mein HP Photosmart C5100 von an meinen PC über USB an Sein angeschlossen werden ein Netzdrucker schielt. Ich kann dieses ignorieren

Die Leistung eines Betriebssystems zu messen ist eine tricky Sache. Gleichzeitig ist es die rechte und notwendige Sache, zum zu tun, weil Leistung eins vieler Kriterien ist, die zu den Kunden wichtig sind. Part of the trick of measuring performance is to time testing execution with the product cycle such that the results are as meaningful as possible for customers; this helps them make a better decision by making use of the full array of available information. As one example, about a year ago we commissioned a firm called Principled Technologies to conduct a study comparing Windows XP SP2 to Windows Vista RTM. That study found the performance measures of the two operating systems were within the same range for many tasks that home and business users frequently perform under real-world conditions.

My point is that we waited to conduct these benchmarking tests until Windows Vista had reached the RTM milestone in the product cycle, as this allowed us to provide our customers the most meaningful data available at the time -- the data most likely to directly affect their decision to upgrade to Windows Vista. We do a whole range of performance tests at every stage of the OS development process, but, as a general rule, we avoid sharing benchmark tests of software that hasn't gone RTM (i.e., final code). This explains why we have not to date published any findings of benchmark tests (nor commissioned anyone to do so) on

Donncha has recently released a great plugin for WordPress, called "WordPress Super Cache." It builds on the original WP-Cache plugin by Ricardo Granada - except that it fixes all the bugs in the original implementation and has been written in enough pure PHP that it’ll also run on Windows servers - both IIS and Apache for that matter! <cue applause>

Windows Vista is a resource hog. Microsoft’s latest operating system will swallow every last bit of hardware resources you throw at it in the race for a top user experience, a concept synonymous with high performance. And yet, there are scenarios in which Vista will eat away CPU cycles, huge amounts of random access memory, completely hug a ReadyBoost USB device and still underperform. The operating system will choke even on the most common of tasks, abandoning the user to slowdowns in system performance and to unresponsive processes catalyzed by nothing more than routine and mundane actions. No doubt, Vista has a few rough corners in terms of reliability and performance, but there are a few solutions available, until Microsoft delivers the first Service Pack in 2008. (more…)
