I think the name of this theme says it all. This elegant Vista theme is just wonderful in its colors and simplicity. I think this theme really compliments the Aero features better then almost any other theme. It’s really nice to finally get a classy theme that will also work at the office. I hope this creator keeps up the great work.

What a perfect time to put on this Summer theme. Unless you live in California or Florida you probably don’t see this scene too often, so why not see it everyday on your desktop. I like the breezy feel of the background and taskbar. Overall, this theme will suit you well on those bad weather days.

I know everybody is thinking, “Why do I put so many old theme icons on the site?”. The answer is because they look so cool and I think they look the best on any desktop. My favorite icon in this pack is the brush and bucket. I promise the next featured icon will not have an old theme.

This Vista theme has achieved a great balance between being dark but not depressing. I like the black and gray Start menu and taskbar. Even the transparency effect is dark which gives this theme a cool feel. I like the blue and green laser background better then the leaf one because it brings a great flow to the whole package.

A while back, there was a topic (Virtual Registry vs. "Real registry") in the Sysinternals Forums that brought up the question of how to set the virtualization-related flags of a registry key programmatically in Vista, rather than through the use of the REG.EXE tool's FLAGS switch. (For more information on the flags, see Mark Russinovich's article in TechNet Magazine, "Inside Windows Vista User Account Control"). Even before that topic in the forum, I had wondered how it was done but had not had a chance to explore. It didn't seem that many others were curious about it. That topic had resurrected the idea, but it quickly fell to the bottom of the list. I've finally gotten around to experimenting, and that leads to this write-up. I still don't see much in the way of this discussed anywhere, by searching for terms involved (data types, function param names, etc.), so hopefully this will help

Here’s another reason to update to Windows Vista. It seems like all the new themes coming out lately look so similar. This one is no exception. All the colors and transparency effect really compliment each other. Even the Start Button orb looks cool. The best part of this theme is the background.
