Vista SP1 est-il vraiment le projectile dans le bras vos besoins de système de Vista ? Nous avons passé beaucoup d'heures attachées à notre système benchmarking dans une caféine et une brume remplie de combustible par pizza pour découvrir ces résultats très intéressants.




Nous avons examiné Vista : 

* en tant que lui sort de la boîte (RTM -- ou « dégagement à la fabrication »)
* car il sort de la boîte, avec toutes les pièces rapportées de mise à jour de Windows s'est appliqué (« RTM raccordés)
* avec le paquet final du service SP1 s'est appliqué 

Installation d'essai 

Bien que Vista SP1 ait beaucoup d'améliorations documentées, nous avons visé à examiner un scénario particulier qui s'est avéré être un problème important pour les utilisateurs pre-SP1 : vitesse de copie de dossier, en particulier au-dessus d'un réseau. 

Notre scénario était un utilisateur à la maison courant la prime de Vista à la maison sur un rapide, réseau de bas-latence avec le matériel de PC décent. Tous les essais de copie de dossier ont été lancés de la machine principale. 

Nos machines d'essai étaient : 

* Machine principale - une pro (duo 6700/4GB RAM/ATI RADEON X1950/2xSATA-II HDD de noyau 2 d'Intel) Windows Vista à la maison prime courante d'Acer Veriton 7900
* Une deuxième machine courant la prime de Windows Vista à la maison (reliée par l'intermédiaire de l'Ethernet de gigabit pour des essais de copie de dossier)

Windows Vista SP1 libéré à la fabrication ! Mais vous ne pouvez pas l'avoir !

C'est lui ! Le paquet 1 de service de Windows Vista n'est plus à l'étude, car Microsoft l'a libéré à la fabrication hier, 4 février 2008.

Le paquet 1 (SP1) de service de Windows Vista a été libéré à la fabrication aujourd'hui et commencera à être à la disposition des clients en mars, commençant par les clients de autorisation de volume de Microsoft. Le serveur 2008 de Windows a été également libéré à la fabrication aujourd'hui et sera disponible pour l'achat à de nouveaux clients le 1er mars. Les clients de autorisation de volume de Microsoft avec l'assurance active d'assurance de logiciel de Microsoft ou un accord d'entreprise pourront télécharger le logiciel de serveur vers fin février en tant qu'élément du serveur commun 2008 de Microsoft SQL et le studio visuel 2008 « des héros se produisent ici » événement de lancement.

Microsoft to release Windows Vista Service Pack 1 on Monday?

Microsoft has scheduled Windows Vista Service Pack 1 for release to manufacturer (RTM) on Monday, February 4, 2008.

That’s just 3 days away! The OEMs will also receive Windows Vista Service Pack 1 during that week.

Microsoft will be deploying Service Pack 1 in two “waves”. Wave 0, which is the one released on February 4, will only include five languages - English, French, Spanish, German and Japanese. The second wave, Wave 1, is scheduled for release 1-2 weeks later, and will cover all 36 basic languages, including Chinese.

On January 29, a Microsoft spokeswoman said Vista SP1 had yet to be officially released to manufacturing. The recent SP1 Release Candidate (RC) Refresh 2 is not the RTM build, the spokeswoman said. “And we’re not commenting on the build number,” she said, when I asked whether the “18000? build number was the RTM version.

The latest buzz is that Microsoft will announce that Vista SP1 has RTM’ed on Monday February 4, according to the Tech ARP site. Even if SP1 doesn’t hit on February 4, its release is imminent, sources agree.

New Test Version of Windows Vista SP1 Available

But you won’t get a download! Microsoft made a new test version of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 available. The Redmond company is in full throttle with the development of the first service pack for Vista as the refresh will be delivered for download to MSDN and TechNet subscribers by mid September.

In just two weeks, Microsoft plans to allow some 10,000 to 15,000 testers access to the full beta of Vista SP1. Invitations for the first beta build of Vista SP1 have already begun shipping to the current members of the Windows Server 2008 beta program. The Redmond company confirmed officially back at the end of June 2007 that Vista SP1 Beta will be offered in advance on November, the date when the U.S. oversight over Microsoft’s monopolist business practices is scheduled to end.

The confirmation was generated at the time by Google’s complaints related to the alteration of the default Windows Desktop Search Mechanism in Vista, designed to permit third party search applications to integrate seamlessly with the operating system. Microsoft: Vista service pack coming in ‘08


Now is the time and the time is now: let’s talk about Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). Much has been made of what will or will not be included in SP1 and when it will be released (some accurate, some otherwise). I’m here to set the story straight: we’re in the process of developing and deploying a Beta version of SP1. This post will describe for you what to expect from that effort and how you can be involved in the process.

First, a note on service packs. As you are aware, service packs are part of our traditional software lifecycle; they’re something we do for most major products as a commitment to continuous improvement. But, the servicing situation has changed with the advent of Windows Vista, as we no longer rely solely on service packs as the main vehicle used to deploy system fixes and improvements.
