Is SP1 van het Uitzicht werkelijk het schot in het wapen uw het systeembehoeften van het Uitzicht? Wij hebben vele uren doorgebracht die aan ons evaluerend systeem in een cafeïne worden vastgebonden en de pizza voorzag nevel van brandstof om deze zeer interessante resultaten aan het licht te brengen.




Wij testten Uitzicht: 

* aangezien het uit de doos komt (RTM -- of „versie aan productie“)
* aangezien het uit de doos komt, met alle toegepaste flarden van de Update van Vensters („herstelde RTM)
* met het definitieve SP1 toegepaste de dienstpak 

Testende Opstelling 

Hoewel SP1 van het Uitzicht vele gedocumenteerde verbeteringen heeft, poogden wij een bepaald scenario te testen dat een belangrijk probleem voor gebruikers is gebleken te zijn pre-SP1: de snelheid van het dossierexemplaar, in het bijzonder over een netwerk. 

Ons scenario was een Premie van het Huis van het Uitzicht van de huisgebruiker lopende op een snel, laag-latentienetwerk met de fatsoenlijke hardware van PC. Alle tests van het dossierexemplaar werden in werking gesteld van de belangrijkste machine. 

Onze testmachines waren: 

* Hoofdmachine - een Acer Veriton 7900 de Pro (Kern 2 Duo 6700/4GB RAM/ATI RADEON x1950/2xSATA-Ii HDD van Intel) lopende Premie van het Huis van het Uitzicht van Vensters
* Een Premie van het Huis van het Uitzicht van tweede machine lopende Vensters (die via gigabit Ethernet voor de tests van het dossierexemplaar wordt verbonden)
* Een derde machine die een volledig-herstelde SP2 van Vensters XP installatie leidt (die via een specifiek gigabit netwerk wordt verbonden met

SP1 van het Uitzicht van vensters bevrijdde aan Productie! Maar u kunt niet het hebben!

Dit is het! Pak 1 van de Dienst van het Uitzicht van vensters is niet meer in ontwikkeling, aangezien Microsoft het aan gisteren productie, 4 Februari, 2008 heeft vrijgegeven.

Pak 1 van de Dienst van het Uitzicht van vensters (SP1) werd vrijgegeven aan productie vandaag en zal beginnen beschikbaar zijnd aan klanten in Maart, om te beginnen met de Vergunning gevende klanten van het Volume van Microsoft. Server 2008 werd van vensters ook vrijgegeven aan productie vandaag en zal beschikbaar voor aankoop aan nieuwe klanten op 1 Maart zijn. Zullen de Vergunning gevende klanten van het Volume van Microsoft met de actieve dekking van de Verzekering van de Software van Microsoft of een Overeenkomst van de Onderneming de serversoftware tegen het eind van Februari als deel van de gezamenlijke Server 2008 kunnen downloaden van Microsoft SQL en de Visuele Studio 2008 „Helden gebeurt hier“ lanceringsgebeurtenis.

Microsoft to release Windows Vista Service Pack 1 on Monday?

Microsoft has scheduled Windows Vista Service Pack 1 for release to manufacturer (RTM) on Monday, February 4, 2008.

That’s just 3 days away! The OEMs will also receive Windows Vista Service Pack 1 during that week.

Microsoft will be deploying Service Pack 1 in two “waves”. Wave 0, which is the one released on February 4, will only include five languages - English, French, Spanish, German and Japanese. The second wave, Wave 1, is scheduled for release 1-2 weeks later, and will cover all 36 basic languages, including Chinese.

On January 29, a Microsoft spokeswoman said Vista SP1 had yet to be officially released to manufacturing. The recent SP1 Release Candidate (RC) Refresh 2 is not the RTM build, the spokeswoman said. “And we’re not commenting on the build number,” she said, when I asked whether the “18000? build number was the RTM version.

The latest buzz is that Microsoft will announce that Vista SP1 has RTM’ed on Monday February 4, according to the Tech ARP site. Even if SP1 doesn’t hit on February 4, its release is imminent, sources agree.

New Test Version of Windows Vista SP1 Available

But you won’t get a download! Microsoft made a new test version of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 available. The Redmond company is in full throttle with the development of the first service pack for Vista as the refresh will be delivered for download to MSDN and TechNet subscribers by mid September.

In just two weeks, Microsoft plans to allow some 10,000 to 15,000 testers access to the full beta of Vista SP1. Invitations for the first beta build of Vista SP1 have already begun shipping to the current members of the Windows Server 2008 beta program. The Redmond company confirmed officially back at the end of June 2007 that Vista SP1 Beta will be offered in advance on November, the date when the U.S. oversight over Microsoft’s monopolist business practices is scheduled to end.

The confirmation was generated at the time by Google’s complaints related to the alteration of the default Windows Desktop Search Mechanism in Vista, designed to permit third party search applications to integrate seamlessly with the operating system. Microsoft: Vista service pack coming in ‘08


Now is the time and the time is now: let’s talk about Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). Much has been made of what will or will not be included in SP1 and when it will be released (some accurate, some otherwise). I’m here to set the story straight: we’re in the process of developing and deploying a Beta version of SP1. This post will describe for you what to expect from that effort and how you can be involved in the process.

First, a note on service packs. As you are aware, service packs are part of our traditional software lifecycle; they’re something we do for most major products as a commitment to continuous improvement. But, the servicing situation has changed with the advent of Windows Vista, as we no longer rely solely on service packs as the main vehicle used to deploy system fixes and improvements.
