Windows 7 : Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) for Windows 7 Beta Free ISO Download Links

Windows Automated Installation Kit (Windows AIK or WAIK) is a set of tools and documentation that support the configuration and deployment of Microsoft Windows operating systems. By using Windows AIK, administrators or users can automate Windows installations, capture Windows images with ImageX, configure and modify images using Deployment Imaging Servicing and Management(DISM), create Windows PE images, and migrate user profiles and data with the User State Migration Tool (USMT).

TCP-Z(TCP/IP (tcpip.sys) auto patcher,), has been upgraded to version 2.4 Build 20090108 to fully support Windows 7 Beta with build version 7000 (6.1.7000.0). The latest version of TCP-Z supports both 32-bit and 64-bit (x86 and x64) of Windows 7 Beta to patch the tcpip.sys and increase the limit imposed on concurrent half-open outbound TCP connection attempts.

Windows 7 : How to Remove Windows 7 / Uninstall Windows 7 in dual boot with Windows Vista

There are many people are facing problem with Windows 7 and wants to remove/uninstall Windows 7 . Here is a way where you can Remove Windows 7 / Uninstall Windows 7 in dual boot with Windows Vista. This is possible when Windows 7 is installed on same drive as Windows Vista but on different partition.

1. Boot your system in Windows Vista, Go to System Properties (Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings(left)) , Click on Advanced Tab > Start up Recovery - select Vista or Older operating system as the default

2. While in Vista, Now go to Disk Management, you`ll be able to see the Windows 7 partition, recheck its the Windows 7 Partition , Right Click on that and Delete it.

3. Restart the System.

Windows 7 : How to install and enable DreamScene in Windows 7

In order to enable DreamScene in Windows 7, the similar hack which allows DreamScene to be installed on non-Ultimate edition of Windows Vista such as Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Enterprise edition is used. The DreamScene installation hack has been compiled into an executable, which automatically copy the necessary DreamScene files and merge require registry keys and entries.

1. Download Windows7-DreamScene.exe (mirror)

2. Run the Windows7-DreamScene.exe as Administrator to install and enable Windows DreamScene on Windows 7. It will automatically restart the Explorer to make the installation of DreamScene works immediately.

3. A Windows DreamScene folder has also been created in %WinDir%\Web\ folder. You can place any video file that you want to set as DreamScene background wallpaper here as in Windows Vista, or anywhere you like.

4. To apply a video clip (in .WMV or .MPG format) as the DreamScene animated wallpaper desktop background, right click on the video media file, and select Set as Desktop Background in the context menu.

We're very proud of what has been accomplished over the last months; in many ways, it sets a new quality bar for a beta operating system release. Building on top of the Windows Vista foundation, Windows 7 adds a great deal of polish and refinement to both the user interface and the underlying architecture, while at the same time introducing many new features and improvements that support new hardware, give power users and casual users alike better tools to manage their digital lives, and enable new classes of application experience.

Windows 7 : Hack Windows 7 to Force Enable Aero

If the Normal method to enable Aero in Windows 7 is not working you can try to hack the Aero Peek in Windows 7 to make it work.

Hack Windows 7 to Force Enable Aero 

1. Open Registry Editor (RegEdit).

2. Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM
If the DWM registry key is not found, right click on Windows and then select New -> Key to create new branch and name it as DWM.

3. In the right details pane, create a new DWORD (32-bit value) named UseMachineCheck, and set its value to 0.

4. In the right details pane, create a new DWORD (32-bit value) named Blur, and set its value to 0.

5. In the right details pane, create a new DWORD (32-bit value) named Animations, and set its value to 0.

6. Restart the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager in Services in Control Panel (type Services.msc in Start Search), or run the following commands in a command prompt with administrator privileges:

net stop uxsms
net start uxsms

7. Attempt to enable and apply Windows Aero in Windows 7. Restart the computer if required.[Via Digital Life]
