Die Microsoft Betriebsmittel fast, die ausschließlich auf die Verpackung herauf den Windows Vista Klienten gerichtet werden und dann dennoch wieder in 2008 verzögert sind, wenn der Stichtag bis zum dem Sommer eingestellt ist, dieses Jahres, Windows XP Service-Satz 3 ist lang und gleichzeitig in seinen abschließenden Stadien der Entwicklung überfällig. Am Ende von Dezember 2007, erschloß die Redmond Firma den prüfenprozeß von XP SP3 und bildete vorhanden für Download einen allgemeinen Freigabe-Anwärter. Das alleinstehende Update-Paket für Windows XP Freigabe-Anwärter des Service-Satz-3 wiegt an gerade 336.1 BANDMITTE und wurde über die Microsoft Download-Mitte gefallen.

Nicht überraschend, obgleich sie in den meisten Fällen von 2007 auf Windows Vista SP1 und Windows XP SP3 stumm war, bevorzugt die Redmond Firma, in Informationen Freigabe ausgedrückt, seinen neuesten Windows Klienten. Beginnend am Ende 2007, handhabte Microsoft, über Vista SP1 extrem chatty zu werden. Nicht soviel über XP SP3. Der Grund ist selbstverständlich verständlich. Nun da Vista auf den Regalen ist, konzentriert Microsoft auf seine folgende Hauptbetriebssystemfreigabe, Windows Wien. Obwohl Windows Wien eine Hauptfreigabe mit einem total korrigierten GUI sein wird, gab Microsoft eine fette Aussage ab: Ende 2009 schlägt Wien die Regale.
However, Microsoft needs to keep the buzz on Windows Vista for now and so they are not releasing any Windows Vienna official information to the public yet, expect for the fact that they are working on it.
Julie Larson-Green, responsible for the user interface of Office 2007, and also the person behind the ribbon-like interface has been transferred to the Windows 7 team.

The current release date of the Windows 7 operating system is expected to be in late 2009, early 2010, returning to the 3-year pause between desktop operating system versions that was common at Microsoft for all Windows versions prior to Windows Vista.

The most common dilema about Windows 7 right now is whether or not to use backward compatibility. Strong rumours have suggested that the OS will be developed from scratch on top…

For the end users, be them in the home or in the corporate environments, the road to Windows 7 (Seven) leads more or less to Windows Vista. But for Microsoft, there is an entirely different path altogether.

The fact of the matter is that, as far as the development efforts are concerned, Vista is a wrapped up chapter. The Redmond company has already begun moving forward. Of course that Microsoft too will have intermediary stages on its way to Windows 7.

A couple of them as a matter of fact in the coming year, with the availability of the first service pack for Windows Vista and the third and final service pack for Windows XP. Currently, Vista SP1 is planned for the first quarter of 2008, following the availability of Windows Server 2008, formerly code-named Longhorn, because of the shared kernel version. XP SP3 has a more relaxed launch date, as Microsoft is focusing on Vista. The third refresh for XP will be made available by mid 2008.

News of the next version of Windows, due out in 2010 and previously known as BlackCombe, then Vienna and now Windows 7 has been fairly thin on the ground since we last mentioned it back in July but a few more tantalising tid-bits have come our way recently.
