Microsoft ha raggiunto un'altra pietra con il candidato iniziale del rilascio (RC0) del sistema operativo altamente previsto dell'assistente 2008 di Windows, ora disponibile per il trasferimento dal sistema centrale verso i satelliti.

Imballato con le nuove caratteristiche, l'assistente 2008 di Windows fornisce ai clienti la piattaforma di Windows più versatile e più certa ancora. Gli avanzamenti tecnologici, quali l'assistente e le possibilità di virtualization di presentazione, i servizi d'informazione del Internet (IIS) 7.0, il nucleo dell'assistente, PowerShell, la protezione di accesso di rete, responsabile dell'assistente e le tecnologie aumentate ragruppare e della rete forniscono ai clienti sicurezza-aumentato, facile--controllano la piattaforma. Tutti questi miglioramenti della caratteristica forniscono ai clienti la soluzione di Windows integrata fin qui. Per esempio, IIS 7.0, piattaforma del Microsoft per sviluppare ed attendibilmente ospitare le applicazioni ed i servizi di fotoricettore, sta avvertendo la quantità di moto forte del cliente, con più di 13 aziende ospitanti che offrono IIS 7.0 e più di 1.200 clienti che lo hanno schierato via l'autorizzazione di divent.

Una versione evoluta della macchina verificatrice di applicazione è disponibile come cortesia libera di trasferimento dal sistema centrale verso i satelliti dell'azienda di Redmond. A partire dal primo giorno in settembre, Microsoft ha fatto la versione disponibile 3.4 della macchina verificatrice di applicazione con appoggio totale per Windows Vista, l'assistente 2003 di Windows e Windows XP. Secondo la descrizione dell'attrezzo, la macchina verificatrice di applicazione è destinata per integrare seamlessly con le piattaforme x86, x64 e IA64. L'attrezzo offre uno strato supplementare per la verifica runtime di unmanaged il codice, in cima alla prova di base di applicazione connessa con il processo di sviluppo. Microsoft in effetti si è vantato che l'attrezzo è capace di identificare persino il più sottile degli errori di programmazione, compreso i problemi con i mucchi, delle maniglie e delle serrature.

With the closing of the Code2Fame Challenge for Windows Home Server, the Connect site has been updated so that beta participants can no longer download the Release Candidate (RC) version of the software. Beta testers will be able to continue to use the beta product keys they downloaded from the Connect site, but we will not be issuing any more product keys for the RC software.

The System Builder version of Windows Home Server is already available in some countries, with additional countries expected to come online in the coming weeks. Additionally, a 120-day Evaluation Edition will be orderable from the Windows Home Server product pages for a cost recovery basis to cover shipping and handling in the next 4-6 weeks.

In the future, the Windows Home Server team will continue to use the Connect site for interacting with the Windows Home Server community by releasing additional items that we want people to get an early look at. All of the suggestions submitted by the community will continue to exist, as we are busy digging through all of the great ideas as we start planning the next release of Windows Home Server.

Concomitantly with the release of the security bulletins as a part of its monthly patch cycle, Microsoft also made available an update affecting the core of 64-bit Vista. More specifically, the feature is designed to stop third party code from altering the operating system’s kernel integrity. “An update is available for Kernel Patch Protection included with x64-based Windows operating systems. Kernel Patch Protection protects code and critical structures in the Windows kernel from modification by unknown code or data. This update adds additional checks to this protection for increased reliability, performance, and resiliency of Windows,” Microsoft revealed.

The Kernel Patch Protection technology is nothing new to the 64-bit editions of Windows Vista. Microsoft’s latest operating system is just the latest in a series of Windows platforms to feature PatchGuard, (more…)
