Microsoft ha trasportato il primo aggiorni all'Internet Explorer 7 durante approssimativamente un anno da quando la versione del browser inizialmente è stata resa disponibile per Windows XP SP2 e l'assistente 2003 di Windows. Con alcuni tweaks secondari all'interfaccia ed all'di utente grafici migliorati primo-faccia funzionare l'esperienza e la descrizione, in cima ad un giro in linea riprogettato e ad un come-TOS aggiornato, la nuova versione dell'Internet Explorer 7 porta una modifica importante alla tabella. Sia il trasferimento dal sistema centrale verso i satelliti che l'installazione IE7 di configurazione 7.0.5730.13 più non sono collegati in alcun senso al meccanismo genuino di vantaggio di Windows.

Prima dell'aggiornamento, gli utenti che hanno desiderato accedere a IE7 da Windows XP hanno dovuto passare attraverso due fasi della convalida di WGA. Una volta che il loro sistema operativo fosse identificato mentre genuino oltre c'è ne dubita di, gli utenti potrebbero godere l'Internet Explorer 7. E perché IE7 essenzialmente è progettato come rimontaggio di IE6, gli utenti di Windows XP hanno dovuto passare con i hassles del meccanismo di WGA ogni volta che hanno desiderato schierare ed installare il browser, anche se il loro sistema operativo già era stato convalidato e re-convalidato stato come genuino. Internet, Internet Explorer 7, tweaks secondari, nuova versione…

Infatti, l'ultimo sistema operativo del Microsoft neppure non installerà con disponibile più meno di 15 GB di spazio sull'azionamento duro. A full Vista installation will take up no less than 40 times more hard disk space compared to Windows 95’s 200 MB and five times more than Windows XP’s 1.5 GB. Part of the reason why Vista hugs so much hard disk real estate space is the fact that the operating system brings to the table a plethora of built-in administrative tools that ship by default with the platform.

In this context, the term hidden, is not entirely accurate. Advanced users and system administrators have no problems tracking down and using the administrative tools in Vista. But at the same time, an average user could pass right by them, just because of their low footprint in the operating system’s fabric, as they simply have a way to go by virtually undocumented and unnoticed. But this does not mean that the tools are not there, it just requires a bit of digging under the surface.

What if you were downloading something late night, but you are feeling sleepy? Most probably, you’ll leave your PC turned on all night and spend more on your power bill. Fortunately, Firefox has a nifty add-on which automatically turns off your PC when you finish downloading, saving both power bill and environment.

The extension adds a checkbox to the download manger and an icon to the status bar. Clicking on the icon or checkbox will turn the auto turn off feature. It doesn’t turn off as soon as all downloads are completed, but instead it has a one minute countdown.
