XFX GeForce GTX 295 and 285 Video Cards


To uphold the growing graphical requirements of PC gamers today, XFX has launched two new graphics cards, XFX GeForce GTX 295 and 285. The XFX Nvidia GeForce 285 graphics card, which is targeted toward gamers, delivers 10% greater performance with a 648 MHz core, 1476 MHz shaders and 2.48 GHz of memory.

The dual-GPU-on-a-single-card set-up of XFX GTX 295 includes second generation Nvidia unified architecture, DirectX 10 support, PureVideo HD technology, PCI-Express 2.0, Nvidia HybridPower, Dual-link HDCP capability, and Nvidia PhysX and Nvidia CUDA technology.

Initially released in India, expect these video cards to spread over the global market in the next couple of months. Gaming and graphics are not as simple as before and hence, the need for advanced graphics cards with better technology is certainly something that is an obvious need.

XFX GTX 285 features dual DVI, S-video output, HDTV, 1GB GDDR3 graphics memory, and 240 stream processors. The XFX GeForce GTX 295 and GeForce GTX 285 will be available through Rashi Peripherals at an estimated street price of Rs.39,000 and Rs.35,000 respectively with 3 years warranty.

So with that said, gamers are going to be awaiting the availability of this graphics card in their region. With a wide population of gamers, this new video card is certainly a welcome note and enhancement to their gaming requirements for optimum performance.
